This summer, the “Cultural Olympics” are being held alongside the Olympic Games. As part of these, sbp was honored to support the Austrian artist Billi Thanner and the Forum Culturel Autrichien Paris with the installation of an artwork.
“L’échelle Céleste – Scale of Peace” is a light installation in the Saint Eustache church in Paris’s 1st arrondissement. The stairway to heaven is 20 meters tall and almost reaches the dome of the church. It symbolizes “peace, the celestial and the virtues of hope, faith and love”. sbp ensured the structural and safety related issues during construction.
The art installation will officially open on June 16, 2024 and will be on display until September 15, 2024. Access to the church is free.
